K9 Officer, Shiloh, Recieves First K9-KOT™
Shiloh Receives the First K9-KOT™
Shiloh was one of the Homewood Police Department's first multipurpose dogs. He was trained in tracking, narcotics detection, and apprehension of suspects. After about 7 years with the department, Shiloh retired due to showing age-related health problems. He is now enjoying retired life with Cpl. Ted Springfield, Shiloh’s third and final handler.
To thank Shiloh for his service and to help him feel as comfortable as possible, we donated a K9-KOT™! His K9-KOT™ keeps him off the hard ground, which helps relieve the pressure on his joints, but it is still low enough to the ground for him to easily climb on.
GO-KOT® and Caliber
The K9-KOT™ was donated to the Homewood Police Department at Caliber, an outdoor and sporting goods company. Caliber is reviving the finer things in hunting and fishing and they aim to only partner with the the world’s highest performing brands. They have a passion for both preparing their customers for life's greatest adventures and giving back to their community.
We were very excited to work with Caliber on this amazing donation to help Shiloh. We are also excited to announce that Caliber will now be carrying the GO-KOT®!
More Information on the K9-KOT™
The K9-KOT™ is specifically made for dogs, but it is still constructed with thick aluminum side poles, galvanized spring steel legs, and high-impact hinges, and it is covered with 1000 Denier Nylon CORDURA® fabric. It will deliver an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, along with equally excellent resistance to abrasion and tearing. Meaning the K9-KOT™ is built to last!
